Mark Goodier Stroke

BBC Radio DJ Mark Goodier Recovers from Stroke

Former Radio 1 Presenter Returns to Radio 2

Quick Thinking Wife Saves DJ's Life

BBC Radio DJ Mark Goodier suffered a stroke in November at the age of 55. The former Radio 1 presenter was thrombolysed, given a clot-busting drug within an hour and a half of having his stroke. This quick action, along with the fact that he had a relatively small stroke, is why he has made a good recovery.

Goodier's wife, Jacqueline, played a vital role in his recovery. She recognized the signs of a stroke and called for help immediately. Goodier was taken to the hospital, where he received treatment. He was released from the hospital after a few days and is now recovering at home.

Goodier has returned to Radio 2 to host "Pick of the Pops." He is also working on a new album of music. Goodier is grateful for the support of his family, friends, and colleagues during his recovery. He is also thankful for the quick thinking of his wife, which saved his life.
