Matty Taylor feels Oxford United's defeat at Bolton Wanderers will serve them well going forward.
Oxford United suffered a 2-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, but Matty Taylor believes the performance will stand them in good stead for the rest of the season.
The U's took the lead through Taylor in the 11th minute, but Bolton hit back with two goals in the second half to claim the victory.
Taylor said: "It was a tough game, but I thought we played well. We created a lot of chances and we were unlucky not to get something out of the game.
"Bolton are a good side and they are fighting for their lives. They made it difficult for us, but I thought we matched them for most of the game.
"We're disappointed with the result, but I think we can take a lot of positives from the performance. We're still in a good position and we're confident that we can achieve our goals this season."
Oxford United are currently 10th in the League One table, seven points off the play-off places.
